Why I Keep Going Even When I Feel Overwhelmed

One thing I’ve learned since I started trying to build things online is that feeling overwhelmed doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong.

In fact, most of the time it means you’re learning.

There have been so many moments where I felt like my brain couldn’t hold one more piece of information. New ideas, new programs, new videos, new ways to earn, new things to try… it can start to feel like too much.

Sometimes it feels like every time you finally understand one thing, three more things show up behind it.

That’s when the doubt starts creeping in.

Maybe this is too much.
Maybe I should just quit.
Maybe this isn’t for me.

I’ve had those thoughts more times than I can count.

But I’ve also learned something else.

Every time I feel overwhelmed, it’s usually right before something starts to make sense.

It’s like your brain has to stretch a little before it can understand something new. And that stretching feeling doesn’t always feel good. Sometimes it feels frustrating. Sometimes it feels confusing. Sometimes it feels like you want to shut the whole thing off and walk away.

I’ve wanted to do that more than once.

There have been days where I thought,
Why did I even start this?

But then I remember something.

Every time I stuck with something long enough, it got easier.

The first time I built a website felt impossible.
The first time I made a video felt awkward.
The first time I tried something new online felt confusing.

But none of those things feel as hard now as they did in the beginning.

Not because I’m smarter.

Just because I didn’t quit.

I think a lot of people believe that the ones who make it online are the ones who never feel overwhelmed.

That’s not true.

The ones who make it are the ones who keep going even when they do.

Now when that overwhelmed feeling starts creeping in, I don’t panic like I used to.

I’ve learned to recognize it.

It usually means I’m right in the middle of learning something new.

And that’s exactly where growth happens.
